ABSTRACT
The patient presented with nausea, appetite loss, and fatigue. She had received two doses of Pfizer/BioN-Tech BNT162b2 mRNA vaccine (COMIRNATY) for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Acute liver injury was noted 14 days after the first dose of the vaccine. Re-exposure through the second dose worsened the liver injury. After liver biopsy on the third day of admission, methylprednisolone (1000 mg) was administered. Liver histology showed acute hepatitis with diffuse lobular inflammation/necrosis and lymphocyte-dominant infiltra-tion in the portal areas. The patient was diagnosed with drug-induced liver injury due to the COVID-19 vaccine based on the Digestive Disease Week Japan 2004 (DDW-J) scale, which assesses the temporal relationship, liver biopsy, and laboratory findings. With improvements in the blood test parameters, prednisolone was gradually tapered and stopped. One month later, no biochemical signs of relapse were noted. To our knowledge, this is the first report describing liver injury after the administration of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in Japan.Copyright © 2022 The Japan Society of Hepatology.
ABSTRACT
During the Coronavirus disease pandemic (COVID-19), working conditions became increasingly difficult for social workers, as they had to deal with new challenges and added workloads. This study describes the difficulties faced by social workers of the Self-Reliance Support System in Japan and clarifies the solution for each difficulty while conducting their duties to support vulnerable people during COVID-19. To this end, we conducted an open-ended questionnaire survey and an interview survey. The data were analyzed using qualitative coding. The results showed that the difficulties faced in consultation support work included supporting hitherto socially invisible groups such as sole traders and foreigners. Social workers also faced an ethical dilemma, as they could not provide support to clients who "did not try to solve their problems” or for whom "interventional attempts did not lead to counseling support” and who only sought benefits at the risk of becoming isolated and impoverished. Following this, consultants collaborated to resolve such difficulties while maximizing the use of various local resources. The study's findings clarify that it would be effective to understand the difficulties faced by social workers to obtain hints toward their resolution. © 2023 John Wiley & Sons Australia, Ltd.

By the infection spread of COVID-19, people were required to refrain from leaving their homes unnecessarily and lived with their families. And they spent time while having the uneasiness to going out of the residence ridge. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the activity status of usage and evaluation of courtyards in Makuhari Bay Town during the period of Self-Quarantine under the state of emergency declaration. Mikuni Festival was held on a reduced scale in 2020 and 2021 because of covid-19. In this study, it investigated the management of the floats in 2021 focused on the parade of floats in the Mikuni Festival. As a result, it was found that there is a management organization that makes decisions on the management of floats for each community. ABSTRACT
This paper shows structures and features of a field-effect transistor (FET) fabricated using a c-axis aligned crystalline In-Ga-Zn oxide (CAAC-IGZO), which is a typical example of crystalline oxide semiconductor (OS) ceramics, as a channel material, and applications of the CAAC-IGZO FET up to this point. In this study, we propose an AI accelerator as novel LSI using an OS (OS LSI) and make a detail description of the AI accelerator. © 2020 ECS - The Electrochemical Society.
